The Management Team has a diverse range of experience, both in and outside the organisation. We know each individual and their families and work comfortably with a “hands on” approach to all aspects of support as and when required.
Melita commenced with Community Connection in 1995. Melita is responsible for all aspects of Community Connection’s daily operations and it’s financial affairs. Melita is also responsible for coordination of the services for individuals and families who self-manage.
Candy has a long history with Community Connection having spent a number of years as the Chairperson of the Management Committee. Candy has a strong understanding of Community Connection and was pivotal in many decisions made before Community Connection transitioned to the NDIS in her former role as Principal Program Officer at Disability Services. Candy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role as Strategic Manager.
Human Resource Coordinator
Peggy commenced with Community Connection in 2001. Peggy’s primary role covers all aspects of recruitment, training, and Workplace Health & Safety for the organisation. Peggy is passionate about finding the best matched Lifestyle Assistant for the person requiring support so that they can work collaboratively towards their NDIS Goals and live their best life.
Jo-Ann commenced with Community Connection in 2003. Jo-Ann works closely with Individuals and families to establish an in-depth, personalised plan to assist the individual and their team to develop a meaningful and inclusive life in the community.
Theresa Weatherly who joined Community Connection in November 2018;
she brings with her years of experience leading teams towards great outcomes for people with a disability.
She works closely with families and individuals to work towards the goals that the person receiving support has outlined in their NDIS plan.
Margaret joined Community Connection in 2019 and brings with her over 30 years of knowledge and experience working in both the governement and non-goverment disability sector.
She is passionate about quality service delivery and improving outcomes for people living with a disability.
Nicole started as a Lifestyle Coordinator with Community Connection in 2019 and brings with her over 9 years experience in the disability sector. Nicole works closely with Individuals and families to establish an in-depth, personalised plan to assist the individual and their team to develop a meaningful and inclusive life in the community.
Margaret started with Community Connection in 2017 as a Support Coordinator. Margaret’s role is to provide assistance to strengthen Individuals/Families abilities to connect to and coordinate informal, mainstream and funded supports in a complex service delivery environment.
Rhonda commenced with Community Connection in 2015 and works in all areas of administration including reception and processing pays every fortnight for over 100 staff members. Rhonda will usually be one of the first people you speak with when you contact our office.
Sheryl commenced with Community Connection in early 2018 bringing with her extensive experience in administration. Sheryl will be one of the first friendly faces you will meet when you visit the Community Connection office. In her spare time Sheryl likes to keep fit through her local bootcamp group and walking up Castle Hill.
Geraldine previously worked for Community Connection, she re-commenced in 2016 and works mainly in reception, on the days that Rhonda is processing payroll and engages in all areas of administration.
Our Lifestyle Coordinators work with a holistic approach and are skilled in assisting with all aspects of an individual’s life, including health plans, behavioural strategies and the implementation of behavioural plans. Lifestyle Coordinators support both the individual, their family and the larger team to achieve their goals.
