The Office Team has a diverse range of experience, both in and outside the organisation. We know each Individual and their families and work comfortably with a “hands on” approach to all aspects of support as and when required.

Jason Carroll

General Manager

A Townsville local, Jason has been employed in the disability industry for over seven (7) years as a Registered Behavioural Practitioner. He has experience working with complex and challenging behaviours, with a special interest in psycho-social disorders. Jason holds qualifications in Behavioural Analysis, Psychology/Counselling, Business/Finance and Community Services. Jason is a father of three beautiful girls, one little man and a very special little granddaughter. In his spare time Jason loves coaching junior basketball and sitting on the board of a local club.

Melita Benn

Manager Finances and Shared Services

Melita commenced with Community Connection in 1995. Melita is responsible for all aspects of Community Connection’s daily operations and it’s financial affairs.

Carmel Clifford

Human Resource Manager

Carmel joined the Community Connection team in 2021.  Carmel leads the Human Resources Team across all of its’ functions with a strategic and transformational lens, ensuring a person-centred approach in all HR activities.

Peggy Campbell

Human Resource Coordinator

Peggy commenced with Community Connection in 2001. Peggy’s primary role now covers  training for the organisation and assisting with recruitment.  Peggy has always been passionate about finding the best matched Lifestyle Assistant for the person requiring support so that they can work collaboratively towards their NDIS Goals and live their best life.

Peggy has three wonderful daughters and is a proud grandmother to two beautiful and sassy granddaughters.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach.

Jo-Ann Rehbein

Lifestyle Coordinator

Jo-Ann commenced with Community Connection in 2003.  Jo-Ann works closely with Individuals and families to establish an in-depth, personalised plan to assist the Individual and their team to develop a meaningful and inclusive life in the community.

Margaret Baker

Lifestyle Coordinator

Margaret joined Community Connection in 2019 and brings with her over 30 years of knowledge and experience working in both the government and non-government disability sector.

She is passionate about quality service delivery and improving outcomes for people living with disability.

Jamie Evans

Lifestyle Coordinator

Jamie joined Community Connection in 2023 bringing with her extensive experience working in the disability sector in South Australia.  She is passionate about the industry and strongly aligns with the values that Community Connection aspires to.  In her spare time, Jamie enjoys going to the cricket and concerts.

Breann Patmore

Lifestyle Coordinator

Bree is a qualified counselling therapist and behaviour support practitioner. She has experience in the international student migration and family and domestic violence sectors, and has been working in disability since 2021. Bree and her daughter love doing Parkrun each Saturday morning and relaxing at home watching reruns of Friends on TV

Brooke McLeod

Recruitment and Return to Work Coordinator

Brooke began her journey with Community Connection in 2023 as a Lifestyle Assistant.  In her current role as the HR Coordinator tasked with recruitment, Brooke is passionate in finding employees who will support the Individuals at Community Connection to live their best lives.

Born in NSW, Brooke considers herself to be a Queenslander and is a part of the Women’s Premier Soccer League in Townsville.  She coaches U8’s boys and U12/13 girls’ team, and enjoys movie nights with her family.

Margaret Shears

Compliance Officer

Margaret has a long standing relationship with Community Connection from her days working at the state based Disability Services.  In 2017 Margaret joined  Community Connection as a Supports Coordinator.  In 2023 her role changed and Margaret is now in compliance where she is responsible for  the review of compliance related materials; resources; and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Jade Mark

Support Coordinator

Jade started with Community Connection in 2023 as a Support Coordinator.  Her role is to provide assistance to strengthen Individuals/families.  Jade also facilitates connection and coordinates informal, mainstream and funded supports in a complex service delivery environment.  In her free time, Jade enjoys supporting her children’s sporting activities and spending time with her family.

Rhonda Storen

Finance Administrator

Rhonda commenced with Community Connection in 2015.  Her role includes financial administration, payroll and all aspects of plan management.

Sheryl Ramsay

Reception Administrator

Sheryl commenced with Community Connection in early 2018 bringing with her extensive experience in administration.  Sheryl will be one of the first friendly faces you will meet when you visit the Community Connection office.

Geraldine Groves

Reception 

Geraldine has a long association with Community Connection.  She can be found on reception every Monday.
